What drives the decision for a bill to be considered in Congress/Senate? WHY can't we pitch SKIL or TALENT Bills as a means to separate legal immigration from the ongoing CIR debate?
If politicians are introducing these bills, they should be willing to back them up separtely instead of saying that these come into picture only if CIR fails. Or is the introduction of other bills a sign of CIR's imminent failure? Since the top IV team has the visibility with politicians, this hypocrisy should be resolvable. Please tell us why these bills cannot be taken up while CIR is pending? Isn't that what the lobbying company is supposed to help us with?

Thanks for the update. Let me share my concern with the CIR. Do you think that someone (lawmakers) is going to officially vote for the CIR to die? I don't believe so. Discussions, debates, political bickering and fingerpointing can drag on for months and even years because no one is officially willing to kill it for obvious political reasons. How long do you think we (IV) can wait until we start pushing for other bills?

My 485 application was filed with NSC on June 4th, 2007. I know it is too early to expect receipt notice.
Who will receive the original approval notice?. Attorney or me?. Who will receive the FP notice?.

My husband received CPO mail on 08/04, welcome mail on 08/05, soft LUD on 08/06 and approval notice sent mail on 08/09 but dated 08/08 in USCIS status. Hoping to have the GC in hand next week.

I hear ya and feel for you Nag. That is why I posted a thread inquiring about ability to file for AOS/benefits after I-140 even when PD is not current. I believe this is an achievable administrative fix, however with almost everyone applying in July/Aug, this may be on the back burner in the foreseeable future.

One of my friend got "Card Production Ordered" email. He is EB2-I, PD Jan 2006, RD- Sep 30 2007, NSC.
Mine is Dec 2005 and still waiting. So what is going on with NSC? Are they also doing the same thing that TSC is doing? latest cases first?

The answer to your question is: Nothing. They may be waiting, because of many reasons like, they are scared, do not care, there are other opportunities, tired of this immigration crap, lack of enough knowledge regarding their rights.
Now, I do not think the onus correcting such mistakes is 100% on the EAD folks' shoulders. I remember reading how slavery ended in this country. Slavery died, not because the black people fought for the abolition of slavery; slavery ended when the white man realized that slavery is wrong.
Based on the same logic, I would say that the job of stopping discrimination against EAD/H1B etc. is mainly the responsibility of Citizens and GC holders. It is their country; it is up to them to fix it.
My question is -
what are these "1000s of folks" doing? Are they waiting for someone else to work for their cause?
If they believe they were wronged, they need to take action. Without any action, nothing is going to happen.
And, yes, these is discrimination on the both side of the lines. Have you looked at the hiring practices of leading desi outsourcing/consulting companies in the US?

My checks got cleared at TSC today.
Previously
My 140 was approved at TSC, sent 485 to Nebraska on June 22, they received on June 25. I called to check status yesterday, the lady said to wait. On asking if case will be transferred to TSC and if TSC will generate receipts, she said she doesn't know, but it may take at least 2-3 weeks to process receipts at Nebraska.

There are various degrees of cursing and you were clearly crossing the line. I dont think the IV forum is a place to be "innovative" with cuss words.
If you are that "innovative", why dont you write that letter yourself. Why are you looking for the support of the IV community?
What have YOU done for the IV community except ask everyone to join you in your tiny specific micro-action items which benefit only a small fraction of the community like 5 people who have joined this law suit. Is that your definition of "innovation"? Coz if it is, I would much rather be a LOWLY Eb3 and fight for a common cause than be an "upper class" Eb2 fighting for just myself.

I opened a SR for non receipt of my FP notice, on 30Oct2007. I got a reply from USCIS exactly after 45 days ( very prompt) notifying me that " my FP has not yet expired or my FP is not yet cleared". Certainly this looks like a canned reply from USCIS which was sent even without looking at my file. I guess they should be more transparent in their process than just sending plain lies.

Just because i gave my predictions which were not favorable to the person, Someone gave me a red.:mad: Guys take it sportively, We are just doing a prediction games, If someone predicts dates which is favorable or unfavorable doesn't mean USCIS / State dept will use the same dates, They will use what is on their minds.
