Folks who opened an SR and had NSC-CSC-NSC transfers, what is the format of the ref # the Cust Service Rep gave you??
I got a # of the format T1NXXXXXXXXXXXCSC format.
I also got this format. but response, came from NSC after 30 days of filing SR.
I had called in the middle to confirm whether SR went to CSC. Rep said requests will get to apprpriate service center.
the other problem is for people like us, the status says " case traansferred and pending at uscis office". I find that reps find it hard to figure out where it is pending. because of wac number, they sometimes conclude it is CSC.
the status on phone says "pending at lincoln".

I am a lurker in this site. This is my first post. I have seen many posts by United Nations. He has helped and still trying to help many users at IV. His posts has insight and valuable information. Doubting his intentions just because he is in this society for 35 years is not appropriate.
I agree, UN has given good, free advice and information worth thousands of dollars in here without any malice, and he's always ready to give any info, i think he deserves more respect that someone childishly questioning him.

If someone ports from eb3 to eb2 they should get the priority date of the day they were eligible to file an eb2 and not be able to carry the date from eb3.
Porting makes sense in a family based visa where your petitioner can file for an application while he is still a green card holder and then becomes a citizen which upgrades the beneficiary's category as well.
On an employment visa you file for an eb3 when you are eligible for an eb3 job, you file for an eb2 when you are eligible for an eb2 job. Why would you be able to jump ahead in the eb2 line when you were clearly did not have an eb2 job ? Just because you filed an application at some point of time in eb3 and waited a decade to get a better job doesn't mean someone else has to pay for your (pick one - laziness, ineptitude, lack of skill or lack of knowledge).
Most of IV Core is made of eb3 applicants and therefore there has never been any push from the core on this matter. And as someone said .. You ARE eating my lunch..
That's the way the rule is set and it doesn't matter if it makes 100% sense or not. I think lot of labor subs guys have already got their GC ..there maybe sizeable number though remaining. in the example that I gave ..these guys didnt even get a decent job ..so they didnt even come to the GC scene.
also lot of people were having multiple H-1's ..so I am trying to be optimist in suggesting that the real demand may not be that much ..also, because of repeated complaints ..I would think that USCIS will try to push as many EB3- I cases as possible ..so they can show that dates are not severly retrogressed. these are all optimistic thinking points ..as one of my telugu friends told me ..even paan wallah's were coming from hyderabad ...and I guess for their own good 90% of them went back to get oppurtunities in India. many of them were already working in govt positions ..and I guess H1 hiring was almost at a standstill during the last downturn.

If anyone's I140 is pending at NSC, they thinks otherwise. You will feel other lanes are fast except one which you are. :D it's humane nature and It's ok to vent. you will feel better.;)

If it goes like this, it will take a century to get EAD and AP itself.

Guys even H1B increases are not that bad. A lot of our spouses could get jobs on h1b if it was open just now. Ultimately isint that what we want? Both husband and wife working?
I know that it could have a possible effect on the EB but I think a LOT of our spouses could work if the H1B quota was available. I know atleast 2-3 such friends whose wives can easily get jobs if the H1B was open.

Isn't that they have completed input and receipt issuance for cases received by certain date (late Aug.?) according to their update? How come so many July filers still have not received receipts? Weird!
No, it seems as per the latest USCIS update (on Sept 7, 2007) the NSC has completed issuing receipt notices till July 28, 2007, and TSC till July 2, 2007.

Will surely attend the rally with my wife on July14th.
